How many years have you been marching?
47 years

What is your favorite memory as a mummer?
In 1993, we performed in front of the judges at City Hall and listening to the excitement and roar of the crowd while performing such an enjoyable theme.

What is your favorite part of being a mummer?
Becoming more than friends with the club members. Becoming more like family and being around each other.

Do you have family in the brigade?
Besides my children Jacqueline and Rocco and my brother-in-law Donald, I consider the whole club my family. My father Dan Tursi Sr. was also Captain for 20 years and my brother Dan Tursi Jr. was captain for 6 years.

What is your occupation away from Mummery?
Most of life, I was a stone cutter running a granite shop. Now I’m enjoying life making mummers suits and coaching football and baseball.

How many years have you been marching?
37 years. I started in the Juvenile Division at the age of 9

What is your favorite memory as a mummer?
Winning First Prize in 1987

What is your favorite part of being a mummer?
My favorite part of being a mummer is the friendships I’ve made not just in Clevemore but in the world of mummery.

Do you have family in the brigade?
Yes. My two sons, daughter and granddaughter march alongside me.

What is your occupation away from Mummery?
I am a General Manager for Sodexo Food Services.

Secretary from 1992 till 1995, Co-Captain from 1995 till 2002, the President to Co-Captain and back to President

How many years have you been marching?
I have been marching since 1971.

What is your favorite memory as a mummer?
Winning a Rookie of the Year award my first year as a real member of the brigade in 1980!

What is your favorite part of being a mummer?
The friendship that I have made both within my brigade and within the world of Mummers.

Do you have family in the brigade?
Yes, my brother-in-law Ralph Tursi is the Captain and my niece Jacqueline is the Secretary. My nephew Rocco is also a member.

What is your occupation away from Mummery?
Associate Director of Housekeeping for Compass at UPENN

What are the past offices you have held?
Secretary

How many years have you been marching?

I have been marching for 17 years. My first parade was with the Fancy Dolls.

What is your favorite memory as a mummer?
My favorite memory would be in 2003. This was the first official parade year that I marched with both my mother and my son who was a year old. I had three generations marching together that year and have continued this tradition.

What is your favorite part of being a mummer?
I think my favorite parts of being a mummer are the friends that I have been reunited with through the years along with the new friends I meet every day. In the world of mummery, not only are we friends but we are also one big family. I also enjoy the parades when entertaining people and putting a smile on their face when they see us come down the street.

Do you have family in the brigade?
Yes, my mother, son, and husband. For a brief time, I had the opportunity to march with my brother, stepson, and granddaughter.

What is your occupation away from Mummery?
When I am not mumming, I work as an Educational Technology and Curriculum Specialist at the Midland School. It is a private school setting for students of various disabilities that cannot be educated in a regular classroom setting.

How many years have you been marching?
I have been marching for 20 years.

What is your favorite memory as a mummer?
My favorite memory is my first year; the last year the Fancy Brigades were judged going around City Hall in 1997.

What is your favorite part of being a mummer?
My favorite about being a mummer is meeting so many new people and being able to carry on such an amazing tradition all while marching with my son and my husband.

Do you have family in the brigade?
My husband, son, and myself and dad.

What is your occupation away from Mummery?
Outside of Mummery I am a High School Photography teacher, and a Drexel University Adjunct Photography Professor.

Jacqueline Tursi

What are the past offices you have held?
I was elected Secretary in 2014 as soon as I was old enough to be an officer of the Brigade.

How many years have you been marching?
20 years.

What is your favorite memory as a mummer?
Being voted in as an officer and standing along side my dad, Ralph Tursi and Uncle Donald Cola to lead the club

What is your favorite part of being a mummer?
Family. Not only is my entire family part of Clevemore and the mummers but the club has become my family too. And of course finding every excuse to drink with that family.

Do you have family in the brigade?
My father Ralph Tursi, Uncle Donald Cola, brother Rocco Tursi and my grandfather and uncle where also captains of the club in years past.

What is your occupation away from Mummery?
Customer Service Specialist/ Realty Related Scheduler for Guardian Termite & Pest Control, Inc.

Joe Rita

What are the past offices you have held?
Secretary, Vice President, President, Sargent at Arms

How many years have you been marching?
2016 will be my 20th year marching.

What is your favorite memory as a mummer?
Getting the results of the 2002 Parade when we came in 4th with 2nd prize captain.

What is your favorite part of being a mummer?
The friendships I have developed over the years and having my daughter participate in the parade with me.

Do you have family in the brigade?
Yes. My daughter Gianna is a juvenile dancer, my niece Amanda is a female dancer, and my nephew Michael is a former member turned Marshall. My sister Robin, brother-in-law Michael, and cousin Vincent are also marshalls with the Brigade.

What is your occupation away from Mummery?
I am Senior Construction Manager for NEST-Multi Facility Services. I coordinate and oversee large retail construction projects and roll outs across the entire United States, Puerto Rico, and Canada.
